System requirements

Hi,

I just upgraded to 6.02 and within the last few hour I had to realize
several severe crashs (i.e. system freezes) and I had to restart the PC
using the ON/OFF key.

My system is a Pentium 233 MHz, 64Mb RAM and 6 GB HD, Win 95.

I browsed thru the accompanying books and sheets but found no detailed
indication on the system requirements besides "where Windows will run Lv
will run as well" and some info on the colors required.

AND:
When using the application builder I get the ERROR message "Fehler 1"
(i.e. ERROR 1).

My earlier installation 5.1 was running properly before upgrading.

Any ideas what to check first?

Hi Klaus-

When upgrading versions of LabVIEW, you need to be careful of installing two versions of the same driver on 1 machine. LabVIEW comes with the option of installing the GPIB, DAQ, VISA drivers, etc. If you did not uninstall any of these components and then installed another version on top, this could cause problems - especailly if you are making DAQ / GPIB calls in your program.
