TWAIN library needed...

I need a TWAIN library, I am thinking of buying a ViCAM from vistaimaging
and use it for visualinspection of leds and so on in my tests This camera is
connected to the parallelport as I got no USB suport thanx to WinNT...
The ViCAM is TWAIN compliant so it would be nice with a TWAIN lirary to go
with it..

TWAIN suport for LV anyone?
Check Vistaimaging out. http://www.vistaimaging.com

We do not provide TWAIN drivers but as the following link describes there is possible workarounds. You need to be competent in C programmingSmiley Wink

Good luck with your application,

what a bunch of garbage. who wants to reinvent the wheel and crank out C code? when Twain devices are accessable through ActiveX and .NET

NI should stop being lazy and post a Twain driver and stop referring to 3rd party vendors.

It appears that you specifically searched for TWAIN library, as is evident from your similar post on this other thread. LabVIEW is a programming language, like C. NI cannot make libraries for every interface on the planet. If they did they'd spend all their time on that, and no time in developing LabVIEW. Do you also think the inventors of C should have made a TWAIN library as well? What about the inventors of Python, or Java?

Just like C (or Python, or Java, or fill in your favorite language here), folks can make drivers for various interfaces. Whether they choose to sell it, or give it away as open source is their own business. Clearly you are an open source candidate. I love open source, but I also concede that sometimes somebody may want to make money off their hard work, especially if it's a lot of hard work. It's called capitalism, and it's reality.

P.S. I would also suggest that perhaps a constructive suggestion provided via the Product Suggestion form would be more productive.
