Tab Control Page Label Font Peculiarities

I have a Labview Application that uses a labeled tab control for organizing the screen controls. I use the application font for labeling each tab. I am using Labview 7.0 under Windows XP. The program uses serial communications and runs continuously for several months. On several occasions (months apart) the font style of the labels apparently changes (when no one is looking) to a cross out (text with a line through it) font that is different from the font that was designed into the tab control. The spooky thing is that only the tab control labels are effected and all the other fonts are OK and the application code runs fine through out. Does anyone have a comment or recommendation?

Is it possible that somebody is changing the desktop theme or fonts in the "appearance" tab of the XP display control panel? How about "font size" in the advanced display properties?
Maybe you should lock those settings down for the plain user.

Thats a good thought. It's possible but not likely. This PC is unattended 99.99% of the time and only used to monitor a production process. This does not appear to be a case of tampering with the appearance or font settings. Locking the settings down is a good idea in any case. At this point, I can't tell whether it is a bug in Labview or some programming or XP settings problem. The problem has only happened two or three times in the last 18 months. Thanks for your comment.
