Thick lowered box

When I use the thick lowered box on the front panel, the controls in this box are not active. Do you know why? why?

When you say not active, do you mean you can't click on them?

If so I imagine that the decoration you placed is on top of the controls. Click on the box and then you can use the Re-Order ring (the ring in the menu toolbars that looks like a gray and black arrow pointing in a circle) to move the decoration to the back.

Select the deco and sets its order to "back" (see attached)

I cannot locate the Reorder ring on the tool palette of the front panel. On this palette I have only 10 options (operate values, position/size/select, edit text, connect wire, object shortcut windows, scroll windows, clear break points, probe data, get color, set color). Thanks

The re-order ring is not part of the tools pallette which is what you are looking at. Take a look at the image that Ian posted in his response. The ring we are talking about is the menu he has dropped down. It is part of the buttons and rings on the toolbar, similar to the Run button, however just far to the right.

Evan didn't say the tool palette. He said the menu bar. The menu bar is the one with the Run button. The reorder button is the one on the far right. The attachment from Ian's post even showed a picture of it.
