This is a sample program that will (quickly) fill up a disk with files, using the Set/Tell EOF function. An examination of the files will show that (under XP), most consist of 1 contiguous chunk of disk space. As the disk fills, scavenging of fragments will occur, and the fragmentation rate will go up. This probably demonstrates how XP allocates disk space.
