Triggered start and stop of IMAQ

I would like to use the external trigger to begin an acquisition of a series of images on the rising edge and stop on the falling edge. The number of images to be acquired will vary depending on the amount of time the trigger line is high. At the end of the acquisition, the images should be sent to a file.

Any example code showing both a triggered start and triggered end?

Thanks,

J

Hello J,

There are examples for triggered stop and triggered start. Are you using LabVIEW? If you are go the Help>>Find Examples to open up the example finder.  Then Browse according to Task.  Then open the folder Hardware Input and Output>>IMAQ>>Signal Input and Output.  In that folder there are many different examples that involve triggered acquisitions.

Thank you. I have looked at the examples, however there is not one that has both start and stop triggered acquisition. While one would think you could just combine parts of the start code with parts of the stop code, it is not proving to be that easy. I would have thought I can't be the first person to have wanted to acquire images during the duration a signal is high -- just thought someone might be able to save me the time of re-inventing the wheel.

I looked and could not find any examples that had both a start and a stop trigger.  I would think that by simply using two configure trigger VIs this would be possible (like you said, combining the examples) but I have not done it. Maybe someone else has done this and can post an example.
