Trouble recognizing connected BK8500 on LabVIEW

Hello,

I currently have a BK8500 connected to my computer through a USB to TTL interface and I have downloaded the BK85XX drivers from LabVIEW. Sadly when I open SystemDesigner and attempt to view live hardware it does not show up. Also when I try to identify an instrument on my serial ports it says that an instrument is "not found".

I am new to this software so I apologize if the question is confusing or the solution is obvious.

Thanks.

For LabVIEW NXG 4.0.0 it is a mode to view connected hardware in a block diagram format as far as I know. Seems a bit similar to Simulink.

The BK8500 won't show. What shows up is a COM port if your USB-TTL adapter is designed as one.

Thanks

I'm using the usb to TTL interface from BK Precision and its connected to COM3 of my computer. It is visible on my device manager but on LabVIEW I cannot even view that communication port, only COM1 is available to edit its baud rate and such.

The only thing I can think of is that another program is using COM3 .

Hmm. I gave up. Switching to a bk8601 which has an actual usb port and it all works fine.
