Trying to edit a program but files are missing

Hello, firstly I apologize, but I actually do not understand much of labview.

my problem is this, a friend of mine made a program on labview and now I'm trying to edit it, but I lack some files as  DAQmx clear task.vi; DAQmx Read.vi; DAQmx Timming.vi ... etc.

I have the installer and the files "ivproj" and "vi" ...

any idea how to solve the problem?
I have labview 8.5 and the windows 7 and I think Max 4.6.1

You need to install DAQmx. You can find it here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1444/lang/en.

Note: You should be aware that LabVIEW 8.5 is not officially supported on Windows 7. It should work, but NI has not fully tested it.

You simply need to install DAQmx. Click on the 'Support' button at the top of the page. You will find a link to DAQmx there.

If you do not understand LabVIEW and do not know what DAQmx is, what kind of edits are you going to make?

I'll try to make it look like a professional software, my friend did it for it's thesis and i'm using is equipment and software for mine, just a bit of tuning on the interface and add some functionalities for advanced users, like temperature compensation, non linearity and the possibility for expert users to change some parameters... i have a full year to understand labview... 🙂
