Trying to unistall NI-DAQ 6.8.0 installed by LabVIEW 6.0.2

Hi,

I am trying to install LabVIEW 7.1 on my system which previously had version 6.0.2 on it. It reaches a point where the setup has been terminated because NI-DAQ 6.8 is already on the system. I have searched the information database for information on how to uninstall NI-DAQ 6.8 that has been installed by LabVIEW. There is a weblink to a page that should show you how to do this, but it only shows an error message that the page is missing.

Does anyone have another link or the contents of that page so I can complete the installation of LabVIEW 7.1?

Thanks.

Guessing your running some flavor of Windows, Look in the "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. There should be an entry for the old version of NI-DAQ so you can remove it from there.

Hi,

Sorry, I forgot to give any details. I am running Win 2000 and in the add/remove programs list there are only two possible entries. One says LabVIEW 6 and the other says National Instruments. I just wanted to check to see if I click on the National Instruments one, I will get a choice to remove NI-DAQ 6.8 only, I want to keep the rest of the installed software intact (I think).

Thanks.

Clicking on the National Instruments one will open a dialog that will let you select individual components to remove. There may be other components that depend on NI-DAQ to be installed, so they will have to be uninstalled also. Newer versions of anything uninstalled will get installed with the new version of DAQ.

That's right.

It's been a while since I've had to do that. I forgot it was integrated into the LabVIEW installer.
