Two apps with two 4472 devices on the same chasis

Hi,

Does anyone know, what effect could happen if i use two different executable applications, one based in LabWindows and other based in Labview, both apps use 4472 cards to perform its operations, on the same Chasis with one controller...
In others words:

App1= LV exe + 4472
App2= LW exe + 4472

It's posible do that on the same PXI chasis?
Do i need synchronization?

Any help will be welcome,

Thanks.

Hi JFT,

It's hard to comprehend what you are trying to do. I know you were trying to be obvious, but you may be involving yourself in a complicated situation.

If what you mean is:

App1= LV exe + 4472(1)
App2= LW exe + 4472(2)

(1) and (2) specifying different boards.

Then yes, absolutely. There will be no problems.

If what you mean is:

App1= LV exe + 4472(1 and 2)
App2= LW exe + 4472(1 and 2)

Then no. There will be problems anytime both programs attempt to access the same resource at the same time. Let me know if you have further questions or if this does not resolve your issue!

Hi Chad,
Thank you for answer my question.
Yes, the situation is: (1) and (2) specifying different boards. I have not proven anything yet, because i want to know more about this configuration. Anyway do you know something extra about this?.
