UPGRATING LABVIEW

hello all;

i have labview 8.2 full developent system on my current pc, i would like to upgrate to labview 8.2 development system and application builder. (i also have the cds and serial code for the second mentioned)

is there a way to update my labview without having to unisnstall the version i currently have on my pc completly and then installing the other?

I believe you will have to uninstall then reinstall. I had to do this once years ago. If you were going from 8.2 to 2010 you could, of course keep both.

You can install both.  No need to uninstall the older version.  I've had 4 or 5 different versions on a PC at a time.

The only risk is that some things such as DAQmx support for older LabVIEW versions is removed with newer versions of DAQmx that would be installed with the device drivers that come with the newer LabVIEW.
