Hi 1085,

when you want a "previous version" of a VI you should tell which LabVIEW version you use.

And sometimes its faster to recreate a VI from scratch. (And you could learn to use LabVIEW that way much faster.)

Best regards,
GerdW

Agreed. The VI I made above was purposefully roundabout. It is very simple to write that code from looking at the snippet, but also very simple to write your own with the tiniest bit of research.

Cheers

Hi James,

Thanks again for the VI. I tried it. But analog input signal is not triggered. What is the reason?

Thank you for your help.

Hi number,

Please send me VI, how is generated digital signal to send from 6008 digital output to PFI0?

You ask just that - and that's what the VI does: output a digital signal you can use to wire it to PFI0!

The VI does NOT trigger any analog input…

Open the example finder.

Search for an example that shows the usage of a "start trigger".

Open that example.

Run it. Test it. Understand it.

Come on, do some exercises!

Best regards,
GerdW

The VI triggers a digital output, not an analog input.

If you want to read an analog input, then create a DAQmx task for your analog input. This analog input can be triggered by PFI0, but you're using a waveform graph in LabVIEW to do the triggering, so it would make no sense to use PFI0.

Just read from your analog input at a certain frequency for a certain number of samples and you only ever need to configure one channel.

I agree with James. Generating a digital signal in LabVIEW to trigger an analog acquisition is just a Rube Goldberg.
