Hi

I installed NI-IMAQ  on LV 8.6

Then found this IMAQ.lib for the USB Cameras and use this lib in LV 2009...

Its a very simple thing and depends on the version of the LabVIEW you installed. If you have version LV2009 or later you have inbuilt module for USB camera and when you go into the Vision assistant you can use the web cam which is connected to the PC.

Hi,

First, you need to make sure the USB camera is DirectShow compatible.  If it isn't it will not work with our vision software. You need to use the IMAQdx drivers (which requires a license) to acquire from a USB web cam.  Once you have the IMAQdx drivers (Vision Acquisition Software) installed and the drivers that come with the camera installed you should be able to see it in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).  Once you can see it in MAX you can use it just like any other camera in LabVIEW.

Yes you should have the camera Directshow compatible but once you have that I don't think you need to have License for that you can play with the webcam in evaluation copy itself but while building the exe and the Installer you need a license.

Hi,

What version of the drivers are you trying to install and where did you get them (i.e a disk, ni.com, etc.)?

Hi,

Do you know what version of the Vision Acquisition Software you are using?  I would suggest you download the latest drivers from our website:
