There are several third party toolkits that allows you to use webcams within LabVIEW. You can look at
Parente's webcam library, which is for free. Also, there is
IVision by Irene He, and you can do image processing with that one.
INVENTeering also have a webcam library called INVENTvisionVFW that use ActiveX.
