Hello,
I am having trouble running Labview 21 without an internet connection on Ubuntu. Every time I unplug the ethernet cable and start Labview it displays a message that it needs to be activated.
Whenever I plug the ether cable into the PC and start Labview it does not ask for any activation and goes to the projects directly.
How can I make sure it is activated in offline mode? This PC needs to run Labview without an connection so this is really troublesome.
Thanks,
Mart

Hi Mart,
Actually, if you are using LabVIEW Community version you should now, that this version has some limitations as well as doesn't work without an internet. But there are some exceptions that might cause this problem as well. For example, I suggest you double check if you have another version of LabVIEW or not. Because actually you can use different versions of LabVIEW in the same PC, but there is no specified anything about Community with Professional/Full/Base versions and I think the problem might be connected with that. There is an article about using multi versions of LabVIEW in the same PC.
Also, you can see the difference between LabVIEW Base, Full, and Professional editions in this article.
So, try to check these mentioned points and do it again.

Hi Mart,
Is the network connection using a USB-ethernet adapter, and that's what is being unplugged? I know if the network adapter itself is removed or disabled, the license check thinks it's a different PC with a different computer ID, and the license file no longer matches. Does the PC have another network adapter (wireless) you can try activating with?
NI does offer offline activation methods, but I think they're only applicable to NI License Manager on Windows.
