Hi there,
Sorry, I just have simple question that I cannot find clarification anywhere.
Currently I am running on XP SP3, LabVIEW 2010 SP1 with Daqmx 9.1.7 with MAX installed.
I want to utilize the new TDMS VIs for Daqmx 9.3, so I am planning on upgrading to 9.4 (Will this upgrade affect the LabVIEW project I am currently working on, from forum previous forum posts, since I am on >9.0 already, it should not be a problem).
I do not have internet connected to my computer, and it will be a troublesome to arrange that, so I was wondering for the upgrade, can I just go into MAX >>tools>>update, and that will help me update my Daqmx driver? Or, will I have to download the 9.4 from here and then install? If it is the latter option, would I need to uninstall the 9.1.7 first. If I don't need to uninstall it and risk losing stuff, then I am going to download it to this computer, then transfer.
Thanks,
Lester

Lester,
If your computer is not connected to the internet, then you will not be able to update the driver through MAX because MAX obtains the update through the internet. The best option in your case would be to download the driver update from the link you included and then install it on the computer you want to upgrade. There is no need to uninstall a previous version of NI-DAQmx as the download will automatically upgrade your previous version. You will also not lose any functionality in your LabVIEW project.
Good Luck,
Allison M.
