I don't know about mobile phones but LabVIEW is being used in PDA's, search the NI site for that topic.

Hi.
Thanks for all your replies.![]()
I have also think of using PDA as the portable devices but I am wondering whether PDA can support the Vision module.Since I have used the imaq functions in my programme.I am afriad that the exe programme may be too large for it to run and lose it's stability.
This is what I worry about the PDA.
Thank.
Io

Dear Mike,
Thanks for your reply.
If PDA cannot do that. Can the WM6 phone do that?![]()
Since I have saw the suggestions and saw some information about WM6, it seems that it have much more power than PDA.
Am I right? If so, can it supports my imaq programme?
Thank you very much.

Hi IO HUI,
Mike was right when he said the PDA module doesn't support IMAQ. The Vision Module is only supported on Windows 2000, XP, or NT, and as a result will not work on devices running Windows Mobile or Pocket PC devices.

WM6 will make no difference to the PDA, further to that, the NI PDA module is not yet fully supported on WM6 devices, I have a couple of PDA units that I can run using WM6 or WM2005 by swapping out the ROM, Labview for PDA does work on the units with either OS installed but the newer WM6 does not release some magical capability of a PDA - the hardware is very limited in terms of what it can do, Labview PDA makes a very good job of taxing the limited capabilty of a PDA to the extreme IMHO.
If your application requires image processing, forget it as a PDA is at best taxed by taking a photograph at high res, let alone running image processing software - Mike
