Hi Suresh,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. LabVIEW RT can be targeted to National Instruments embedded PXI controllers, Field Point modules, and RT DAQ boards. As you know, National Instruments PXI controllers are all 3U. So, we really have two questions here. First, will a 3U PXI controller work in a 6U chassis? Second, can you use LabVIEW RT to control third party PXI or CPCI boards?

The short answer to both of those questions is yes. For details on using a 3U controller in a 6U chassis, please review KnowledgeBase 2NTCEIUK: Using a 3U PXI Controller in a 6U Chassis at http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/8204B3AC6C5BB0F486256C0600655BF0?OpenDocument. For details on using NI-VISA to control a third party PXI or CPCI device, pl
