Using LabVIEW on Omega OM-320

Hi,

I'm new to LabVIEW. The situation is this. We have an OMEGA OM-320 (datalogger and it uses RS232).  We have been using its own software (Hyperware).  But right now, we would like to upgrade by planning to use LabVIEW to see dislplay values at realtime.  The datalogger only has pressure transdcuers and thermocouples hooked up. We have a LabVIEW 7.1 so we are hoping to use this.  Is this possible? I was wondering if LabVIEW can directly communicate with the datalogger or another method is if it can somehow get the values from the Hyperware. I've been searching a lot with no luck. I'm sorry if I don't know that much.

I would really appreciate some help.

Hi Madz,

from the manual at Omega.com it seems to be a rather old box using also graphical programming...
Have you asked a local Omega Application Engineer about your problem? They are the most qualified people to answer!
