Hi,
I wanted to used NI 56000 Downconverter with my simulation.I had a waveform of time domain singnal from a file which i needed to downsample. I wanted to ask how i could use that data pass it to NI-5600 and then use the RF downconvertor to do the downconversion on the data of the file without generating anything using NI-PXI 5441. Moreover after doing the doncnversion i wanted the data in Measurement file as well.
I would be really nice if some one could help.
Thankyou
Raza

Raza, I read your other post http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=290&thread.id=1328 and between the 2 posts I think I might have a clearer idea of what you are trying to do. Could you confirm some questions for me?
1. You have some sort of file with the data of your waveform in it?
2. What is the format of the file and can you post a example of it? (e.g. LVM, .txt, .csv .tdm .tdms)
3. You want to downsample the data in the file and save it to a new file?
4. You want to use the 5600 to do this but do not want to recreate a 'live' signal with a signal generator?
5. What version of LabVIEW do you have?
6. Which add on toolkits do you have? (e.g. Spectral Measurments, Time Series analysis.)
If the annswer to number 1 is yes and you have the Time Series analysis toolkit look at the TSA Resampling.vi. You might be able to do this strictly in software and not have to use the hardware at all.
Hope this helps.

Hey GovBob,
Thanx just read your post here after posting a reply on the other query.
Well I have the Data of samples in .lvm files.
Yes i want to down convert it to IF frequency and save the result in a file.
Yes, I want to use the 5600 to do this but do not want to recreate a 'live' signal with a signal generator.
I have Lab view 8.2
With regards to add on toolkit i would have to check fer the complete list as the equipment and labview im using is in my Uni.
However spectral measuremnet and Time analysis is there for sure.
Thankyou

If you have the modulation toolkit a better fit might be the MT Downconvert Passband.vi. Again this is independent of hardware. You would be doing this strictly in software.
Keep asking questions if you have trouble. There are lots of folks on this forum who have experiance in the RF world.

Hi,
Well i have already done the down conversion in software using another approach however using the hardware for the purpose was another requirement as well that is why i needed information in that regard i.e about loading my lvm file data onto the hardware memory.
Thanks
