Using niDAQmx on a macbook Mac OS sonoma 14.6.1

Hi! I'm currently in a MECHE measurements lab class for which we need to use labview with niDAQmx installed. But labview doesn't support this extension for my mac OS-- it's supported for OS 10, but when i try to install it throws an error, text The package is trying to install content to the system volume. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I get that I can't expect to run an os10 extension on an os14 system, but if I don't find a workaround for this I'll have to use the shitty lab desktops for all my work and that is a MASSIVE no for me. Is there a way to make this work? Like, a hidden OS14 niDAQmx download, or some kind of emulator that can run the older file/ an older mac OS, or am i just screwed?

Appreciate the help,

A good course is supposed to prepare you for the real world and if you want to pigeonhole yourself into some unusual hardware while using strongly negative words on typical hardware, you'll be in for a wakeup call later. Most employers prefer people that can pivot.

Use the lab desktops, pass the course, and go on!

Using the NI myDAQ on an Apple Computer with macOS - NI

Currently the NI Daqmx is only compatible with mac 10.14 and bellow. I believe NI will launch a new version soon, but not sure when.
