VI Diagram documentation.

I am trying to creat the documentation for a program. But I am not able to view and print the description i wrote for the While/For loops as well as for the Sequence structures. Does anyone know how do I get the description for all the loops and sequence structures in my documentation? Thanks in anticipation.
Regards, Pari.

Under File is "Print..." and "Print Window..."
The "Print..." will steer you through some tabs to complete your print job. You should find the options available there to print all the descriptions, etc. which are available.
Good Luck with it, Doug

Doug,

In LV6.02, I was unable to get the description for a diagram object to print. I was however, able to get a description to print by labeling the object and naming it with the description.

I was also unsuccessful using the web publishing tool to create documentation. It only works with front panel descriptions.

Select Print..., tab to an option for Printing contents (Icon, desc, panel, and diagram). This will let you print the VI description, and all free-lables from both the FP and Block Diagram. Click on the Preview... to confirm. This also lets you view the various sequence structures independently.
In regards to standard User Interfaces (which you have posted), I make it a standard on documenting VIs with labeled detailed free-labels throughout the B-Diagram, and a 2 section VI desciption (FP and B-Diagram). These always print fine when using the above print option.

Sequence structures? Who uses those?

There doesn't appear to be any way to print, much less view the descriptions for diagram objects. However, I have used the label of an object to document, vis a vis using a short description. This does show up on the diagram prinout. If you can use very short descriptions, I recommend this method. Otherwise, the only way to view descriptions appears to be the same way it was created.
