Using LabView 6.1
I created a number of small VI's to check functionality. When every thing looked good I combined the pieces into a single VI. I din't pay much attention to the error indicator until I was done.
When I did check my errors I had a couple "..required instrument handle is not wired.". I had copied and pasted a number of instrument driver V-I's into my routine so I thought this would be a simple fix. I clicked on "Show Error" and I see a dashed line sqaure bordering on the outside of the Sequence Structure frame where I had intended to place one of the instrument V-I's.
My problem is, I cannot get ahold of this thing. I can't pull it back into the frame, I can't delete it. All I can grab is the edge of the Sequence Frame. Here's the weird thing. If I switch from the "connect" tool to the "Wire" tool Labview will display the connections nodes on the ghost VI. I've attached a couple screen shots for illustration.
I assume that I created this situation by pasting the three connected instrument VI's into the frame but didn't notice that one was outside the sequence border.
Any ideas or do I start over?
Cheers!

Hi there
it seems that the VI is placed under the frame. just expand the frame to the left or open the error list, doubleclick the error entry so the VI is marked and then move the marked VI to the right using the cursor keys on your keyboard.

Good morning Chris -
Thanks for fielding freshman questions.
When I clicked on "Show Errors" all I got was the dotted line square that I could not grab. I also moved the frame border back and forth and did not see anything. However, as you suggested, expanding the frame did expose the shy VI's and I can move ahead.
Saludos!

You can't grab it because it is BEHIND the frame. When the VI is selected by doubleclicking the error entry you can move it with the keyboard cursor keys like i mentioned.

Hi Chris -
Right again. It didn't occur to me to use the arrow keys.
Cheers!
