Hi, I'm using LV 2012 PDS. I need to get a measure of the VI's complexity. So, I"ve opened the project and then opened the VI. The VI Metrics tool does not see the VI (or any VI) in the "Select a VI" window. This seems to be true of other VI's I've looked at as well.
What to do?
Thanks!

Hello m_mckee,
Thank you for posting your question on the forums.
Are you launching the VI Metrics window by navigating to Tools»Profile»VI Metrics… ?
You mentioned that you are opening the LabVIEW Project first and then opening the VI. What happens if you open the VI directly?
Have you tried saving or Mass Compiling your VI before opening the VI Metrics window?

Hi Cameron,
Yes I tried to open directly and then I tried the Mass Compile as you suggested. I've also had the local rep take a look as well.
When I try Mass Compile, the "Directory to compile" is blank and it wont let me select anything. In addition, when I press the "Done" button on either the "VI Metrics" tool or the "Mass Compile" tool, I get no response. Its as if the app hangs. I can only stop it by pressing the "X" in the upper right hand corner.

Hello Mike,
It sounds like there may be a problem with your LabVIEW installation. The best way forward may be to repair your LabVIEW installation, as outlined in the following KnowledgeBase article:
