VISA resource name does not appear in Windows CE

I am trying to communicate via RS-232 using a handheld computer running Windows CE and another piece of test equipment.  I have installed VISA 4.1 on the handheld device.  When the program runs on the device, the VISA resource names control and indicator do not appear and I get an error indicating that the resource is not present.  Attached is a simplified VI that results in this behavior.

I am running LabVIEW 8.2.1 and Touch Panel Module 8.2.1

Hello,
The VISA resource name changes when you move from your host computer to another device and the Resource Name control doesn't work in Windows CE. There is a KnowledgeBase linked below that describes what you should change the resource name to (make it a constant) or by using another VI.

Thanks for the response Stephanie.

I had previously read that post that you referred to and wasn't sure if if applied to my case.   I did find a work around for my problem by wiring a string constant with the name of comm port to the VISA resource name input of the configure port VI.  That seems to be working for now, however I would like to have a pull down list of the available resources in my program.  The VISA find resource VI sounds like it is worth some investigation.

I have not found many references to the Touch Panel Module in the forum.  I am wondering if that is because not many people are using it or what...
