Currently using Labview 6.1, I know, should upgrade to 7.1 but not midproject.
I am needing to create a serial communication via VISA controls. This application will be installed on several PCs of varing configs and I need a way to scroll through the available serial ports using a VISA resouce name to find to which port my device is connected. How can I scroll through the available ports and look for my device. What I am really asking is how can I determine what ports are on a given PC and convert them to a VISA resource name.
