Does anyone know of a software program that will capture screen images at a fixed rate in order to create a video demonstration of some test software I created?  Free software would be preferred because I am working on my portfolio.

Hello,

I found the following freeware by searching for "screen capture" on download.com:

http://www.download.com/AviScreen-Classic/3000-2194_4-10394589.html?tag=lst-0-1

Download.com is a good source for this kind of stuff...particularly because in their search you can filter the results to only include freeware.

Hope this helps,

-D

You could try SNAGIT by www.techsmith.com, it's available on a 30 day trial basis, I have had excellent results with this tool. It supports grabbing of a specific screen area and all the other features you might possibly wish for.

If you have Microsoft Powerpoint, the Microsoft Producer package for Powerpoint 2003 tends to make heavily compressed and sometimes unclear results, its ok if that's all you can get access too. It's available as a download from here It is good for managing into Powerpoint and works well in this area and of course it integrates well with reasonably familiar controls.

Product information Producer 2003 for PowerPoint is located here it's free for Powerpoint 2003 users.

I would really like to know how you get on with your project even and perhaps especially if you decide to use another tool.
