Visa Read/Write intermittent freeze during Agilent DMM Access

I have two systems that are running the same Labview code, same version. Both are using an NI PCI-GPIB card to control the two DMM's installed in each. The system that works fine is a Dell PC running XP Pro w/SP2. The problem PC is an Industrial Rackmount system from Supermicro Computer with an INTEL Pentium E2200 Lga775 2.20g 1mb 800mhz Fsb and running XP Pro w/SP3.

The bad system will intermittently freeze during a Visa Read or Write operation to one or the other DMM. It is running the latest version of Visa ( I believe 4.41). Both systems are configured the same way as far as the GPIB Port, Visa Alias, etc.

I ahve been trying everything I can think of to track the problem down and have not gotten anywhere. I really need some help. I do not think any Agilent Visa drivers were installed, but if so, how can I check? We are using the canned Labview VI's that come with Agilent Meters on both systems. None of the VI's have been modified from the default configuration. The meters are both Agilent Model 34401A. No errors are displayed on the screens.

Try capturing and posting the events using NI Spy (Start»Programs»National Instruments»NI Spy). I would be interested into seeing what the low level event was that triggered this "intermittent freeze".
