Voltage to temperature

Hi,
I wrote a basic voltage (thermocouple) to temperature  VI but  it seems to get the wrong temperature even though  it  reads proper  voltage values  from my HP34401a. Do I convert voltage to temperature  properly?  Please help.

No.  It looks like you may have the 40.5 and the 1,000,000 inverted.  While you add 25 (I assume you are looking at deg C?),  you don't handle the note that says 1 mV output at 25 deg C on page 2 of the manual.

Do you have the reference bath set up?

If the output from the read VI is in Volts, subtract .001 (for 1 mV).  Divide by 1 million.  Multiply by 40.5.  Add 25.

Yours, you take 40.5 and divide by 1 million, then wind up dividing that into the output of your read function.
