Hello,
I have been using the Web Services in some LabVIEW Projects, and everything was working fine in the Development mode and Executable mode. I was publishing a Web Service and redeploying it as usual, when I was confronted with this Error Message: "Couldn't connect to server".
Even I tried publishing the "WeatherMonitor" example and it showed the same error message:
I checked further the Web Service Configuration settings and Previously it used to show all the published Web Services as below:
However, now it's only displaying the following error message, which means:
"The Webservice API key cannot be acquired from server. Make sure, that the server is online or that your User account has the "GetWAPIKey" authorization"
I want to understand what would be the possible remedies for such a problem.
I don't know if something would have been blocked by the IT or from a Firewall??!
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed

Hi Ahmed,
This looks indeed like some IT issue with user groups and set group-wide permission. Please, verify with them if GetWSAPIKey permission is anyhow blocked in your local network.

I have the same problem, everything worked fine and suddenly I stop connecting to the server. Can someone give me information on how to solve it?

Hello,
I know this is a little old thread. I am just posting it to letting other know how it is solved it for me. May be helpful for someone.
I have encountered this problem today. I have repaired web server, labview, worked with services, nothing solved my problem.
Then I have added my local user account name in the security configuration tab as admin. Then it instantly solved this issue.
Hope this helps.

I had this problem with trying to manage the Application Web Server for a compactRIO via web browser (Microsoft Edge). The fix was to unpublish the webpage and republish it.
