Weird characters in controls

Has anyone encountered this? (See attached).

Characters in my controls have changed. Also noticed that when creating probes, the font is really large (136!) In the properties tab for the control the correct label text is shown, but the front panel shows a number of squares.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Marco,

I've never seen either of those problems before.  However, off the top of my head, I'm thinking some of your configuration settings (font name, font size, etc.) have been screwed up.  I recommend exiting LabVIEW, deleting or renaming your LabVIEW.ini file, and relaunching LabVIEW.  If everything looks fine, then go back to your INI file and search for lines that might be defining weird font names or sizes.

And if that doesn't work, check the regional settings of your OS and make sure the correct language is set, and also double-check the appearance settings of the OS and make sure you don't have huge fonts set as the default for app windows.

Unfortunately none of the things you suggested work. My ini file shows:

IconFont="Arial" 12
dialogFont="Tahoma" 16
BDFont="Arial" 12
appFont="Arial" 16

Any clues appreciated. I guess I can reinstall, but that's a lot of work.

I wonder if the Arial font got somehow messed up on your machine?  Try deleting those lines from your INI file and relaunching LabVIEW to see if that helps.  Other than that, I really don't have any idea what the problem could be.  I assume you checked the language settings on your machine and everything was ok?
