What to install for office/desktop use only?

I'd like to write Labview programs on my desktop, which does\will not have any DAQ hardware attached to it. Therefore, I think I do not have to choose 'complete installation', but I do not know what components to leave out. Any advice?

If you've got LabVIEW 7, all of the hardware drivers are on the CD labeled Device Drive Reference. Just don't install anything from there. Older versions vary a little but you would want to skip things like NI-DAQ, NI-GPIB, Vision, Motion, etc. If you ever want to use the serial ports, install NI-VISA.
