Iskander,

This function, IMAQ Remote Compression.vi is not in the palettes, but if you use context help (ctrl+H) and hover your mouse over the vi, you will see the data on it.  In the context help window, if you press the small left most button in the corner, it will display the path.  On my computer the path is: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\vi.lib\vision\IMAQRTCompatibility.llb  Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Iskander,

I think I know what may be happening.  In order to see that library you need to have both LabVIEW RealTime and IMAQ installed.  Not only that, but when IMAQ is installed, the option for RT support needs to be included.  What I would recommend is to make sure that this is the case on your computer.

Go to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs, select "Change" for National Instruments Software.  In this list find your IMAQ driver and click "Modify."  Have your IMAQ driver CD available for when it asks for it.  Once the CD is put in, a window with all of the install options will open -- make sure it's set to install support for Real Time and run the modification.  Let me know if that helps make this library available.  Thank you!

Iskander,

So you opened the installer and added support, or was support for RT already included?  Was the option for RT available in the list under IMAQ?  When you asked it to run after selecting the option did it show you the list of options and then install them, or did it give you an error?  At what point did it fail?  If it installed without error, did you restart your computer afterwards?

The more information I can find out about what happened with the install the better.  If you got an error or anything, a screenshot would be very helpful.  Thank you!

Iskander,

RT stands for LabVIEW Real Time which is a software package that allows you to run LabVIEW in a real time processing computer, or on a Real Time target such as the Compact Vision System.  Are you using a real time system?  If not, it may be possible to do what you are attempting to do without this VI.  Are you trying to compress an image?  If so, in what way - this VI as we can see, turns it into a string.  Let me know what your application is, and I can try to find a better way to do it.  Thank you!

Dear Allison S.
Excuse me for the lisence.
Thanks for the reply.
I created the VI with  IMAQ. And I can connect to my VI from Remote Panel.
When I transfer image to  RP - the speed must be more than 2 Mbit/sec.
And I must to brief the data of the image that to increase the speed.
And I don't know how can I do it?
When I open >Build Application>Advanced Installer Settings - the LV RT support is gray.
Best regards
Iskander

Iskander,

First off, it looks like you do not have RT, which means that you can't use that VI, but the program itself shows you how to flatten an image to a string without that VI.  As to what you were explaining about your application, it sounds like you want to make your data take up less space so that it will transfer more quickly, correct?  The best way to do that is to set your camera to take smaller images.  Is that a possiblity?  Also, I'm not sure what you mean by transferring to RP, what is RP?  Let me know what you think, and if you can explain your set up a little more it would be very helpful, thank you!
