Where did the DDE Example paper go?

I am trying to create an application that will use DDE in LabVIEW and I know there is/was a white paper example at http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4531/en/ but now when I navigate to this page, I get "Error - Page Not Found." Does someone have a copy of this page that I would be able to have? Or is the page just momentarily down?

I suspect that it is gone for good with ActiveX being the recommended method. The DDE functions were removed from the palettes quite a while ago. Is this the only option you have?
