Where is Compound Arithmetic function in NXG

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am trying out LabVIEW NXG and cannot find the Compound Arithmetic function that I have used in other, older versions of LabVIEW.

It's not with the Boolean functions where I expected it to be. I searched and searched other pallets.

Thanks.

I actually only used NXG for about 1 hour of demo, but can you not use quick drop to find it? (Ctrl + Space). If you cannot find it on there, I would assume they either changed the name, or it is not yet available.

Thanks for the reply.

I see now that CTRL+Space (as well as that search thing on the pallet) respond when I type "compound arithmetic" by showing traditional Boolean functions. So the LabVIEW NXG installation 'knows' of the Compound Arithmetic function and which group it goes with.

So it must not be available yet. I had no idea that "not yet available" was something I'd encounter.

I have not touched NXG but your update begs a question...

It is possible to configure an And gate and choose Compound ... ?

All you need is place the regular node with two inputs from the palette, then resize for more inputs. Try it!

You take the add function and drag down. In this way you create an aritmethic compound
