C...  Good old C 😉 on Unix.   The portion I work on does not have Real-Time restrictions, and mostly touches device drivers.

Visual C++ has a freeware edition, Visual Studio Express. (i didn't knew that)

Just curious, why do you ask such questions?  Are you planning to learn more languages? If so, C++ (Visual Studio Express) is probably a good idea.  Knowledge is always good.. 😉

Yes. Even if i don't have much free time, Labview can not fulfill all the needs, and sooner or later i think i will need it.

You should also consider some scripting languages as well as XML. 

XML used with Labview can be quite interesting 😉

I'm a big fan of Python.  I've done a fair bit of work getting the two to talk to one another.

I also like using XML in LabVIEW (which JoeLabVIEW mentioned) but it's not really a programming language, as much as it is a data language.

10 MBytes seems too small (to me) for a programming language (i downloaded it, from Jim's link), and completely free !
