Because I've got enough problems...

LV8.20 (yes, i know there's a 8.21, 8.5, 8.6 and 2009 (I have access to all but 8.6 and 2009's on order but... see first sentence)
Note the unbroken run button and the missing VI icon with unbroken wires into and out of it in case '1'.
Took awhile to run this down when a higher level VI wouldn't run dynamically in the run-time or compiled, but loaded fine in the dev environment. The real kicker is that case '0' has the same 'missing' VI in it, but it's not missing...
The 'missing' VI is Parse Stored String.vi and, in case '1', it should actually be Parse Stored String (multibyte).vi. Don't know how it got that way. It was an import from 7.1 that was saved for distribution with vi.lib files included.
Sorry, this is not a question. It is not a bug report. It is just an observation. It will not get a couple days of my life back (yes, I'm slow), but I feel better now... must get sleep.
