Why can't I rightclick/replace global variables?

I copied some code out of an existing VI but didn't copy the global variables. I created the global variables but now they're linked back to the globals from which I copied code.

When I rightclick/replace and find the correct global file, the original link doesn't break, i.e., when I open the front panel of the global, "Show VI Info" indicates the global has the original (undesired) path. When I pulldown and open "This VIs subVI's", I get the same result. All of this while the VI from which I copied code is not open.

I've tried quitting and restarting LabVIEW and I've opened the VI by double-clicking its icon from Windows Explorer. No luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I understand the problem now. When I change the path to the original VI after copying/pasting code and saving the target vi, I get requests to find all the globals when I re-open the target vi. So, then I just find the correct vi's.
