"Scale Object with Pane" (and also Fit to Pane) is not always in a control's pop-up menu. I see this with some tables but not others, for example. They are not TypeDefs. I can use the Pane's "Set Scaling" method to scale the same single control, but I wonder why this option is not always in the control's menu in the front panel editor.

Actually, the Set Scaling method does not return an error but the control still did not scale with panel resize.
My VIs have been converted through many versions of LV, now up to LV 2018, but some controls / some tables show the Scale Object with Pane menu item and some don't. If I make a new table in LV 2018, it does show it. So my workaround is to make a new table and set it up exactly the same as the old one, which is tedious.
Attached is an example with two tables, both from VIs that have been converted over time to LV 2018, but one table has the menu item and one doesn't.

Check the following link. It seems very helpful

This talks about a different topic: missing icons on the Controls or Functions palette. I'm talking about the "Scale Object with Pane" option not showing in a Control's right-click pop-up menu. Thanks anyway.

Have you tried reinstalling LabVIEW?
