Will my LabVIEW 6i installed on an NT computer work when I upgrade to XP?
While I am reluctant to ever make an absolute statement about anything Windows related I will say that I have installed 6i - 7.1.1 on Xp machines without too much problem. I can't speak to some of the ancillary packages, you should be able to move them. If you were moving from Win2000 I would give it an even higher confidence level (Windows NT5.0 to 5.1 vs Windows NT 4.0 to 5.1). If you have to move it is more a case of what will you have to fix. How does "Sarbanes Oxley" force a move from 4.0 to 5.1, may I ask?

Yet another mine field to negotiate in the business world! So that would make using Linux problematic, is it considered "supported" or not? As to MS support of Windows NT X.X, other than their continuing patches, which in the case of SP2 may have caused as much lost time as any security flaw the were fixing might have, I'm not sure what is meant by support. I don't recall every resorting to MS's support in the entire time that I have used their products, since DOS 1.0! back when solid state computers were made out of granite! (note my icon! 😉 )
Good luck and be sure to let us know if you run into any problems, there are people that pretty much have "been there, done that" in almost anything we can come up with. It frequently is the human equivalent of parallel processing when someone posts a problem here.
