Windows shutting down when trying to use SMTP to send emails

I have a program that sends out email/text alerts via SMTP protocol. I made it into an executable and every time I run it the following message pops up: "You're about to be signed out. Windows will shutdown in less than a minute."

I have put the executable on the allow list on Norton and on Windows Firewall and it still shuts down the computer.

Apparently you did something wrong.

  • Did it work before building into an executable?
  • What program produces the popup?
  • Does it happen as soon as you run the program or only once it tries to send email or text?
  • Are you sure the executable is allowed to access the internet?
  • Is there anything in the windows logs?
  • Why do you have two firewalls?
  • What do you use to send e-mail/text alerts?

It doesn't happen to me when I do it -- I can send Alert messages just fine, even Text messages, to multiple addresses.  Works (LabVIEW 2018, I think, but maybe also 2019) in Development mode and in Executable mode.
