As for the question: Wireshark doesn't have an ActiveX interface (as far as I know), so there's no easy way to control it. Are you actually trying to control the GUI, or are you simply trying to make use of its capture capabilities? Its capture capabilities are based in WinPCap, and you can get a started library as noted in this thread. You can also peruse the results from this search.
