Wrong number when scan from string used

Hi

I know there are a lot of threads dealing with string to number. But none could really help me.

I use "scan from string" in my vi to get out a number. Noramlly that always works but i have a problem this time.

As you may can see on the attached pic "scan from string" hands out a total wrong number .

Prob 45 shows a string with 30.0300 30E+3 but after scan from string its just a 2. What am I doing wrong?

It is finding the 2 in Chan2.

so i dind't have a prob before cause i only used channel 1 and in the answer it only says chann instead of chann 1.
