We are starting a small LV project that will read and write relatively
small amounts of test data (e.g. 2000 2-dimensional records) with a
number
of header fields. In the past this data has been stored in various
text
formats and there can be confusion if the data formats vary.
The newer XML and XDF (eXtensible Data Format) seem to be a
good idea for providing definitions of the fields and portability of
data.
The addition of style sheets seems to allow for reading of the data
in
the latest browsers. Has anyone developed any LV applications (and
parsers) based on these standards ?
There is a huge wealth of documentation on the Web and these
standards have many comprehensive features. Any pointers to
references that ou
tline simple implementations for 2-D data (X,Y
pairs) plus header fields would be appreciated.
