2 years later I'll just add that this is a deal breaker for me. The block diagram symbols are too small for my old eyes. Changing the screen resolution isn't an option. I'm leaning to rescripting the program in C# and dumping Labview, less headaches from eye strain. If
If it's just a size-of-icons issue and not a bad-code issue, there must be a windows zoom utility out there you could use. I'm not sure if there is one, but I'll make the assumption someone has done it.
Windows 7 comes with a magnifier.

I think this will do the trick, I posted it in another thread already so I'll just C&P it:
So far I havn't found a way to zoom in or out IN LV, however if you're using Windows 7 (if I recall correctly even in Vista) or later you could use the Magnifier (windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/Make-items-o
n-the-screen-appear-bigger-Magnifier) application wich lets you zoom in or out of a reasonable area around your pointer. Additionally it lets you work as usual so you can also modify your program while zooming in.

This lack of zoom was also frustrating me.
I'm not sure what other versions this is in but in Windows 7 there is a helpful zoom utility with a couple nice options.
Go to this link for details:
http://lifehacker.com/5802134/shortcuts-for-quickly-zooming-in-and-out-of-any-windows-application
But the way to get to the simple utility is: "Windows Key" & "+" for zoom in and "Windows Key" & "-" for zoom out.
I like having a "zoom split screen" in the top 1/8 of my screen or so (the space it occupies can be changed). It is nice because you can see both the zoom in (1/8 split screen zoom at the top) and zoom out (remainder of the screen) simultaneously with the compromise of less screen area.
You get this by:
CTRL + ALT + L to bring up the lens display view *** This brings up a "Zoom Box"
CTRL + ALT + D to dock the magnification area. *** This brings up the "Zoom Split Screen" ***
CTRL + ALT + F brings you back to the full screen mode.
If you play around a little you will figure out how to get into and out of zoom pretty quickly but here are a couple hints:
After you first do "CTRL + ALT + D" give it time to load. (I have an i7 and the split zoom still took about 8 seconds to appear.)
After you get the zoom split, use the "Windows Key" & "+" to zoom the upper portion.
When you return from the "Zoom Split Screen" with "CTRL + ALT + F" you might have to hit the "Windows Key" & "-" to get the full screen out of zoom.
I've attached a png to show what the zoom looks like.

I usually want to zoom in to show full view of my large or long diagrams in Labview, but I dont see any posibility in Labview. The view capability is limited on the monitor resolution. Unfortunately, this is far lower than what we need. Thus, a zoom in function will be really helpfull. But I really dont undestand why NI does not provide this option in Labview!
Can anyone tell me why?
Can a Labview developer tell me why? If it is possible in a future version, please tell me when I can see this option?
Thank in advance.

That is actually Zoom Out. Zoom in is when you get closer to the diagram and everything appears larger to see more detail. Zoom out is what you are asking for which is moving out from the diagram to see more of it at once at the expense of sacrificing detail.

This topic has been talked about to death over in the Idea Exchange:http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Add-a-zoom-function-yes-I-said-zoom-So-sue-me/idi-p/91...

Thank to RavensFan. Yes. it was confused ...
Thank to crossrulz.
In addition, as many others I definitely need a zoom out function in labview. I think that people will continue to ask for the zoom out function in labview. I belive it will be integrated in labview. I will wait for some last decades of my life and see.

If all you want is a zoom OUT, it has been there for years. It's called the Navigation Window. Press Ctrl+Shift+N.
