Zooming Diagram or GUI

My eyes are not so brilliant anymore and that's much worse after
programming VIs all day long.

Other graphics oriented software packages like AutoCad, Webdesign and so
on do have a zoom function to have a closer look at smaller areas of the
window. This would be nice especially for wiring digrams, isn't it?

is there any possibility to adjust 'zoom' or is this a great input for
the next revision?

Best Regards

I do not think that LabVIEW provides a way to do this, although I agree that it would be a nice feature in some situations. You may be able to find a 3rd party application that lets you zoom in on certain parts of screen, or you could change the resolution of your display.

I'm not aware of native LabView capability for this but attached is a program 'Zoom' that may be of some use. I don't remember what site it came from but it was listed as a utility to aid in wiring. I don't use it much but it has been well behaved when used.

You can add to a wish list of LabView features @ http://digital.ni.com/lvwish.nsf/lv+wish. Put a plug in for wheel mouse panning support while your at it (Like the feature in Internet Explorer 5.5 when you pan after clicking the wheel on a wheel mouse.)

Spaz,

Thanks very much. Zoom might be a useful program to get a closer look at an
area of the screen. As much as I understand it's functionality helps only to
_look_ at something closer. What I am looking for is a tool to _edit_ my UI
and diagrams with a zoomed area.

Thanks
Urs

Win2000 comes with Magnifier, which provides a zoom for any package. In
the US English version that's under Programs -> Accessories ->
Accessibility.

Also, if your eyes are getting tired, check the refresh rate of your
monitor. Refresh rate below about 70 Hz can cause a tiring flicker.
Right-clic
k an empty area of the desktop or go to Control Panel ->
Display. Choose Properties, choose Settings, click the Advanced button,
click the Monitor tab, and specify the refresh rate.
