accelerometer (Memsic 2125) - Tilt and acceleration

I am about to buy MEMSIC 2125 for my project. It required 5V supply and it spits out X and Y data in the form of pulse.I am wondering if I can use Labview DAQ to take in both inputs (X and Y), then use "Duty cycle function" to get the duty cycle and duration value, then follow the convertion they provide.

I wonder if I can get the acceleration and tilt data from doing this. Is it this simple, if not, what is the challege?

If the device has the capabilities to read the measuring data type like the NI USB-9234, then you can let LabVIEW do the work like shown in this article "Connect Accelerometers to a Data Acquisition (DAQ) Device" or check this example "myDaq two axis accelerometer and attitude measurement with adi from UTSI.zip" to get an overview on how to read data from the accelerometer using the DAQmx drivers.
