add icon/decal to array index display button

I know that it is possible to customize controls, e.g. you can add an icon (decals) to a blank button:

Array controls are built from an array container, the array element and a numeric index control…

You talk about those increment/decrement buttons?

You may try to replace their image in the control editor - it's called "customization"…

I tried this and failed to do so - I'm not so experienced in (advanced) control customization. As a workaround you can hide the inc/dec buttons and place your own buttons next to the array control.
