Hi Dave,
Really good question. I am currently working on beefing up the documentation for the SPEEDY-33. The Daughter Module is a separate board (eyeballing it is about 3 inchesx 1.5 inches) that increases the functionality of the SPEEDY-33. The Daughter Module plugs into the 20-pin expansion header and the standard analog expansion I/O connectors. On the Daughter Module it has 4 Drive Motor Outputs, 4 servo motor outputs, 4 analog controller inputs, and an external power supply connector.
Its main purpose is robotics applications. I personally have used the daughter module to hook up bump sensors (could be digital, but the analog was more interesting).

Hi. About the 10bit (J4) and 20bit (J6) connectors of the Speedy-33 (the standard expansion analog I/O connectors). I need to use more analog ports that just the stereo jacks that comes with the Speedy-33. The manual says that J4 and J6 connector are analog ones but the LapView 7.1 doesn't have a way to accessing them or is there??? LapView has one 2 analog ports but those are bound to the stero jacks. Mainly, can I use the J4 and J6 analog ports with LapView 7.1 Embedded Ed. without the daughter module? How do I access them from LapView 7.1 Embedded Ed?
Thanks a lot.

Reading from the manual found here http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371577b.pdf, on page 21 of 43 it talks about the J4 and J6.
"A set of two connectors, J4 and J6, make up the standard expansion analog I/O connectors, that can be used for optional daughter modules. The daughter modules can be used for applications requiring different A/D and/or D/A functionality than that provided by the standard 16-bit stereo CODEC normally found on the NI SPEEDY-33."
That makes me think that using bare J4 or J6 is not possible. Anyone else ever find a way around this?
