I am experiencing a similar problem with Labview 2009. I am unable to scroll past a certain point in the block diagram without the program freezing. I also can't press control+shift+n without it freezing.
Did you ever figure out how to resolve the issue?

I never did figure out what caused it, but it seemed to went away. It sometimes acts up, sometimes not.

Thanks. I think I might have figured out the probelm. I think there is something wrong with the Mathscript node. I tried searching for it (control+f) and suddenly Labview stopped freezing.

This is a known issue in LabVIEW 2009. When a MathScript node is place on the block diagram, LabVIEW tries to load the compiler and a good number of VI's into memory, often times causing the application to hang. If you need to use MathScript you can try updating to LabVIEW 2009 SP1, but I would recommend upgrading your version of LabVIEW to fix this issue.
